Guest: Fred Schmidt, Principal of Perkins and Will. Fred has quite the back ground in interior design. He helped found The Environments Group, and later merged the firm with Perkins+Will, creating the nation’s second largest interior design practice. They now have 24 offices worldwide. Fred also has a background in Environment‐Behavior Research. We chat with him about what makes a space great, how to utilize space better and why we crave authenticity.
