Guest: Andy Hobgood, The New Colony. Andy joins us today to talk about theatre and business. He is the founding Artistic Director of The New Colony and has also been a business consultant for the last 10 years. Andrew has helped create, direct or produce many plays, including: 58!, Love is Dead: A NecRomantic Musical Comedy, Amelia Earhart Jungle Princess, and Calls to Blood. His consulting work primarily focuses on bringing artistic sensibilities to corporate organizations and assisting artistic organizations in applying business principals to not-for-profit infrastructures. Artistically, he has spent the majority of his career developing, directing, and producing world-premiere theater in a collaborative environment. He shares his thoughts with us about how he sees his industry changing and also the following:

Guest: Diane Legge Kemp, DLK Civic Design. This week we are joined by Diane to discuss city planning, architecture and transportation. Diane was the first woman partner of Skidmore, Owings and Merrill, and in 1989,  she started her own company. DLK Civic Design is devoted to building healthy communities with infrastructure and transportation and has completed many projects for Chicago and the surrounding suburbs. Currently, Diane and her firm are working on the North Red and Purple Lines’ Vision Study, the reconstruction of the I 90/94 Circle Interchange, and sustainable transit-oriented design guidelines for the Illinois Toll Highway Authority.
